At the National Trust of Australia (ACT) we see that:


Our Vision is to be an independent and expert community leader in the conservation of our cultural and natural heritage.

Our Purpose is to foster public knowledge about and conserve places and objects that are significant to our heritage.

 Our Organisation is a not-for-profit organisation of people interested in understanding and conserving heritage places and objects of local, national and international significance.

 

OUR OBJECTIVES

Our key objectives are:

1. COMMUNITY AWARENESS

   A community that is aware of, appreciates, and protects our cultural and natural heritage.

2. APPROPRIATE CONSERVATION

   The appropriate indentification and conservation of Heritage places and objects in the ACT Region.

3. REPUTATION FOR LEADERSHIP

   Recognition of the Trust as a trustworthy leader in the conservation of heritage places and objects.

4. ORGANISATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS

   The building of our strength and effectiveness, supported by sound governance and an active and  

   committed membership.
